Water Canyon & White Wave

Embark on a strenuous (but non-technical)  journey through Water Canyon to the ethereal White Waves. This 10-mile trek climbs 2,000 feet past hidden arches and Ponderosa pines to reach white sandstone domes and a horizon spanning from Zion to Bryce Canyon.

    First, we will meet you and transport you to the trailhead.

    We’ll hike through beautiful Water Canyon, pass the stunning Water Canyon Arch, gushing spring, and climb to the rim for wide-open views. Depending on water levels and time of year, we will see a waterfall here. From there, we follow sandy washes and scattered Ponderosa pines to the bright white sandstone domes known as the White Waves—a photographer’s dream.

    At the top, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views toward Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and Grand Staircase–Escalante on clear days.

    Elevation Gain: ~2,000 ft
    Difficulty: Strenuous (non-technical)

    Best for hikers comfortable with longer hikes and steady elevation
