Frequently Asked Questions
Do I book my lodging and my tours in the same place?
Not through one online checkout, but you don't have to piece it together yourself either. If you book your stay through Zion Ponderosa's reservations team, they can help you book your East Zion Adventures tours at the same time — just ask when you call or reserve. If you'd rather book tours yourself, you can always do that separately through East Zion Adventures' online booking system.
What types of lodging are available at Zion Ponderosa?
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort offers a wide variety of accommodations to fit every group size and budget. Options range from spacious Luxury Vacation Homes (ideal for large families or groups) and cozy Cabin Suites, to unique outdoor glamping choices like Glamping Tents, Conestoga Wagons, Cowboy Cabins, and RV / Tent Campsites.
Do all of the tours depart from Zion Ponderosa?
Some do, but not all of them — it depends on the specific tour. If you want to find tours that leave specifically from Zion Ponderosa, you can go to our All Tours page and sort by the departing location of your choice.
If my tour doesn't leave from Zion Ponderosa, do I need my own car?
Yes, for those tours you'll need to drive yourself (or arrange a ride) to the listed meeting point. Most of these locations are a short 10–20 minute drive from the resort. We recommend building a little extra time into your morning to account for the drive, especially if you're checking a meeting point for the first time.
What are the dining options at Zion Ponderosa?
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort offers diverse on-site dining options tailored to accommodate various schedules and preferences. Ponderosa Eats, our primary restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. For casual fare, Kiki Dee’s Taqueria provides tacos, burritos, and fresh salads. Guests departing on early tours can utilize our grab-and-go services, including pre-packed To-Go Breakfast Boxes and quick self-serve coffee at The Narrows Coffee Station.
Do I need a reservation to eat at Ponderosa Eats?
Walk-ins are welcome, but we'd suggest arriving a little before peak dinner hours if you want to skip any wait — it's a popular spot with guests staying on property.
Can I eat at Zion Ponderosa if I'm not staying overnight?
Yes. Ponderosa Eats, Kiki Dee's Taqueria, and The Narrows Coffee Station are all open to day guests and tour participants, not just overnight guests.
What should I pack for a Stay + Play trip?
Beyond the basics (comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle), pack layers — East Zion sees warm days and cool evenings for much of the year, especially at higher elevations near the resort. Be sure to check your specific tour page for what to bring.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancellation policies vary by tour and can depend on whether you added trip protection at checkout. Check the specific tour's booking confirmation for its policy, or contact us directly and we'll help sort out the details.
