Checkerboard Horseback Ride

Saddle up for the ideal family horseback experience!

On this horseback riding experience riders will travel along the rim of Jolly’s Gulch. This ride is excellent for both beginner and intermediate riders, offering excellent views of Zion National Park, including Checkerboard Mesa, and the surrounding mountain ranges and canyons.

Note

• This tour departs from Zion Ponderosa Resort
• Please arrive at the stables 20 minutes prior to your ride to meet your horse and saddle up!
• Remember to wear closed-toe shoes, and long pants.
• Bring water and a camera
• Saddle bags are provided to carry small items. No backpacks, please.
• All riders must understand English to safely ride the horses.
• All riders must weigh under 220 lbs (~99 kg)
