Exciting events are blooming in and around East Zion this spring! These local community events are a great way to fill your downtime between your Zion National Park and East Zion adventures. Whether you’re an adventure seeker, a foodie, or just looking to explore the beauty of the season, check out these April events around East Zion!

April 11–12: “Reel” Deal Fishing Derby | Jackson Flat Reservoir

Calling all anglers! The annual “Reel” Deal Fishing Derby at Jackson Flat Reservoir is back! Whether you’re competing in the Junior, Senior, or Open category, this scenic spot is the perfect place to cast a line. Enjoy the competition or just relax—either way, it’s sure to be a a “reel” good time. Register here.

April 12: Easter Egg Hunt | Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Celebrate Easter with a desert twist! Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park hosts an exciting egg hunt for kids on April 12, with two hunt times available: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bring your baskets and enjoy this egg-stra special tradition surrounded by sand dunes and sunshine.

April 19: Soup Town Days in Orderville

Get a taste of small-town charm at Orderville’s Soup Town Days! With wiffle ball tournaments, lawnmower races, and a soup showdown, this quirky local event is one you won’t forget.

April 23-24: Utah Trails Conference | Kanab (Tickets Required)

This two-day event brings trail builders, outdoor lovers, and rec planners together to talk all things trails. If you’re passionate about outdoor access, conservation, or just love hiking, consider attending this hands-on, knowledge-packed conference in nearby Kanab. Tickets are required, so be sure to register in advance.
